Join SRJC professors Gino and Julie Muzzatti as you venture to the charming and historic town of Urbania, Italy. Urbania is set in a verdant valley high above the Adriatic Sea in the Apennine Mountains, with a population of 7,000 warm and inviting italiani.

You’ll study the Italian language for two weeks at the highly accredited Centro Studi Italiani (Center for Italian Studies) while you live, and eat, with a homestay Italian family or in your own apartment, experiencing the Italy that tourists never see!

Lively Italian classes are offered in the mornings and afternoons are scheduled for field trips, a class in ceramics and cooking, and conversation classes. We will spend two nights in Rome, one night in Florence and a full day in Venice, so that you can take in the artistic, architectural and gastronomic wonders of Italy.

No previous experience in Italian is necessary! Costs include books and tuition at Centro Studi Italiani, an Urbania orientation tour, a winetasting experience, a cooking and ceramics class, museum visits, field trips, hotel stays in Rome and Florence, a day in Venice, bilingual escorts, and attendance at opera concerts put on by Centro students.

Tour exclusions: Non-covered meal and personal expenses. Airfare to and from the US and supplemental travel insurance (highly recommended). Assistance in arranging these services along with optional pre- or post- tour travel or study planning is available.

Base cost depending on accommodation choice: $2,693 to $2,964

$650 non-refundable deposit is due upon registration and no later than March 17, 2017.

Balance is due April 21, 2017.
